My Marine

June 10, 2008
By Amanda Greenberg, East Norriton, PA

My heart was lonely
Lonely, till I met you
you came and stole my love
Love that belonged to you
You fixed all the wrongs
Wrongs that sefish souls had done to me
Me, myself, and I
I think you put us togther again
Again, I was whole, but better
Better with you here but not
Not here by my side, but in my heart
My heart that longs for you and...
And a pacing mind that counts the days
Days that go by, oh so slow
Slow and dull as I'm waiting
Waiting for my marine to come home
Home to my arms and back to me
