Screaming No
She just wanted to be wanted & he swore he wanted her. Just like the one before
swore he wanted her.
She hadn't learned her lesson.
She never will.
She can still remember -
she still feels him holding her, pushing her to do the one thing she herself had
pushed against.
She could still hear him whispering "are you sure"
& hear herself scream "no" inside one million times & say "no" outside one hundred
times.
She can still feel herself fighting against him, feel herself give up & for the very first time - give in.
She can still see the fire in his eyes as he gave it a second of thought -
a split second before he took the one thing that meant anything.
But she hasn't learned.
She'll still trusts this new one when he says he loves her,
when he says she's all he wants, when he promises to never force her.
& as he opens her legs she closes her eyes.
Begging him to stop on the inside,
saying no on the outside & dying each and every time she isn't heard.
