In Six Seconds, I'm Gone

February 28, 2011
You kept on running even though the kite still had holes
You kept your confidence while I gave up and lost hope
You kept an empty promise that everyone will always hold
You cared for me like if I were a daughter of your own

Never thought we'd make a fire when our stick's for the first time crossed
Never thought you'd keep the water no mater how much the bowl cost
Never thought you'd pick up my hope from the dirt when it was tossed
Never thought you'd help me find my way back when I was lost

You changed my workplace that went on in my mind
You changed the way I thought about my not-so-perfect life
You changed that seed to make a new flower when the old one died
You changed my dead eyes to something more alive

You soon were forced to let go of the kite
Leaving the cloth to not support the sticks and the holes from my life
Slowly tumbling down, it's running out of time
The end of all creation the blue thing called a sky

I wish on a star that you'll come back
Revive my heartbeat with the paddles that you have
That power you hold to stop my present from attack
You stop the rain with that umbrella in your hands

Rebirth me before I lose
