The Pilot and the Plane

Flying through the air
Maneuvering the aircraft swiftly
Over the gathered crowd
Not another soul in the blank blue sky.

He is suddenly ripped out of his seat
He stretches and rounds out into the shape of the plane
His arms lengthen into the wings
His feet suddenly are the jet engines
His old self shed like a cornhusk.

His maneuverability is now amazing
Everyone is staring as he

Dives...

Twists…

Flips…

And rolls…
Everyone at the air show is staring at the plane awed by its grace
Everyone is staring at him.
