survivior or victim?

Am I a survivior,yet only a victim?
looking at what could possibly be
I start to climb an tall oak
then fall out of that tree
now if only I had self will
to climb back to the top
come to the branch that knocked me down
look at it and stop
tell it thank you so much
for giving me a second time
to make it to the to the top
to push and try and climb
but is that what i am?
a suvivior in the wood
or is my story a sad one
of buts, shoulds and woulds?
