Clouds

One wet morning I folded my homework together, a paper airplane.
Out the window went, like a feather, a paper airplane.

I lean out across the windowsill,
And glimplse bellow, coasting through the deary weather, a paper airplane.

A sunlit flash of white above the grassy blades,
Come hither paper airplane.

Catching the hopeful eye on this dismal day,
I pray that it will fly forever, a paper airplane.

Alas, fallen in a muddy puddle,
Its oncecrisp skin now like leather, a paper airplane.

Gray as the sky above
Condemed to go no further, a paper airplane.

Later, whenthe teacher asks for my homework,
For a moment i do not remember, a paper airplane.
