Chants fall on deaf ears.
The prize in his sight but
The choice in his past.
A vicious beast gone astray
Now tainted with morality.
A messy sight
The crown hoisted by a stranger
Untouched by glory.
Soft linen shielding the cold sting of metal.
Victory
Such a hollow feeling…
