Bridge
I’m on the bridge
 Leading to anywhere lacking
 Maliciousness
 Shallowness
 Perfectness
 And meaningless judgmental verdicts
Coming from people who know quite little
 I peer down
 One billion feet up
 The wind murmurs
 And whistles quite marvelous songs
Of what is right and what is wrong
 It is not callous
 Ruthless
 Or heartless
 Suddenly I feel fearless
 I am tearless
 And doubtless
They are at the precise bottom
A minuscule proportion of the crowd
Suddenly their snarky comments seem less loud
Their awe is the only sound
As they envy and resent from the ground
 Mere specks that were once
 Merciless tyrants
 Now just followers.
