Captured images of golden times
Back when less was known
To today, knowledge is crime
Those days of icky boys and cooties
Some glimpse into the past
We yearn to touch and backtrack

Short-lived moments fly
Like New York minutes
Brimming with spirit and charge
Wish I could hold pause and rewind

Time was free and boundless
Today it drives nerve and returns Advil
Ticking a desire to fall back in backpacks

For a photo may hold us down and deep
A Kodak captured sight of memories made
One flash of a moment of bliss
Gone and vanish with a blink of an eye
