Human
The swirls upon our fingertips
The creases in our dainty lips
The fringe of lashes on each eye
The salty tears we sometimes cry
The natural warmth we have within
Each vein pulsing beneath our skin
The millions of hairs upon each head
If you prick us, we will all bleed red
The roads and paths carved in each hand
Our pores that look like grains of sand
The slender neck, the goofy ears
The laughing mouth, the hidden fears
The pool of color in each eye
The hasty gasp, the lengthy sigh
The bending bulges of our knees
The slight explosion when we sneeze
The way our stomachs rise and fall
The urge we have to know it all
The wrinkles that we’ll form when old
The ticklish spots, freckles, and moles
The idea that we all have souls
The way we love, the way we give
The all too human life we live
