and so much I want to say
I just want to tell you I love you

Now, that the tears have died
and I think the pain has left
I try to crack a smile
but the smile wants to hide

I know that you are happy
and in spirit you are here
and when I want to cry
I'll remember you are near

It was so unexpected
no one ever knew
That just being happy
Would be so hard to do

I want to see you smile
And I want to hear you laugh
I want to hear you tell me
about your life in the past

I wrote this so you would know
