She tumbles to the ground after the hard blow
the lump on her head and that in her heart
with each second that pass only seem to grow
put there by her once loving sweetheart.

He looks at her with pure hatred in his eyes
a feeling of pity creeps slowly up his spine
but he remembers all her stories, all her lies
so he doesn't want to care if he goes out of line

She pleads with him for a little forgiveness
with tears in her eyes, she crawls to his feet
how could he be so cruel and eager to oppress
someone so willing to accept defeat

He never could have fathomed nor imagined
not in his world could he, by her, been so misled
but now he knows, their bond is threatened
because he found them on his matrimonial bed.
