Wind rushes through my hair as I ran
The sand squishing through my toes
I felt free, not a care in the world trailed behind me
I was sixteen

Watching the waves crash around against my feet
As I sat next to him
It felt like only us; no one else
I was sixteen

After hours of hearing the breeze,
Reality hit us –
Reality hit me
As I sat alone surrounded only by memories
I was sixteen

This isn't anything personal, it's just a natural feeling some people feel.
