More than Freinds
Our teeth chatter
Our laughter is loud
Our world is bright
Though it’s covered with clouds
We sit in a warm room
Playing childhood games
Spending time together
Doing things without shame
The fire thaws our cold bodies
As we slowly begin to feel our feet
We feel the warmth of hot chocolate
Marshmallows on the fire preparing to eat
Dinner comes
The smell drifts towards us
Making us hungry
We run to the table without any fuss
We serve ourselves food
Only one fajita for me
As for you I know
You had more than three
The guests arrive
And the fun begins
We play games
May the best one win
Laughter fills the home
Everyone feels amazingly great
But before we know it
It’s getting quite late
The house empties
You and I stand at the door
The what used to be fun day
Is now no more
I pull you into a hug
To let the day end
With our arms around each other
I know we are more than friends
