This is the summer I write my book
The summer I dance all night
When I read my heart out
When I hang out with my friends
This is the school year I am spotless on grades
The school year I finish my homework early
When I participate in class
When I turn in all of my assignments
This is the new year I change my unhealthy ways
The new year I surprise my family with unexpected gifts
When I see the good in people instead of faults
When I do what is right even when no one else is doing it
This is the year I become a new and better me
