The Path
Alone in the woods
This dark descended sound
Seems to follow me around
The ground is pulling my feet forward
Even when I don't want to go
And my heart is forced to beat for me
Even though I've done things
My gut told me was wrong
My fist are clenched
And I'm all alone
All i can see
Is right in front of me
The two doors that lead within me
Inside lies a path
Followed by a wrath of guilt
- But which way to go
If only I could know
Then maybe it would show
If only I
Would have followed
The path
Drawn out on the ground
The one that showed
Me how to live my life
And which way to go
I don't always steer straight
I've taken a few wrong turns
I've been lost and returned
But I know whats right for me
My destiny
Even though I don't always
Follow the path
God set for me
