Silence
not a single sound
pitch-black
stars glimmering, gleaming in the night sky
a light
slowly rising
into the moonlit sky
keeps rising
until it is fully visible in the sky
that is no longer dark
the silence broken
by a rooster
proudly declaring the end of
that seemingly endless darkness
night ends
a new day begins
