Time is frozen.

The strong-held castle stands still,
Surrounded by its only neighbor; Nature.

Time is frozen.
The air stays chilled,
And the sky stays orange,

Time is frozen.
But the sun still struggles to rise,
High over the snow-draped mountains.

Time is frozen.
The lake at the foot of the mountain,
till holds its ripples from the thousand years back.

Time is frozen.
The pine trees, never growing, never spreading,
Still cover the mountain’s sides.

Time has frozen.
Like everything held its breath.
Waiting.

Waiting for that one day,
When the sun will rise high and shine bright.
When the snow will melt and the spring will come.

Waiting for that one day,
When the trees will grow and spread its green love.
When the water will breathe and the ripples will flow.

Waiting for that one day,
When the time
Comes again.

In school we had to write a poem on one of six pictures. This is my poem.
