For old time sake
Just kiss me goodbye
To bring up the memories
Just one last time
I'm going to miss you
It’s so hard to watch you go
Our feelings finally sober
With realization of needing to grow
“Maybe we can be friends” I say
But I know that can’t be
We’ll be too focused on other people
But you still say “we’ll see”
We stare at each other a while longer
Wondering, when it will all begin
The ending of our life together
And the beginning of something new
