There’s this boy I know, that’s on my mind everywhere I go.
I see his face every time I close my eyes,
He really caught me by surprise.
His caring ways make me feel like I’m on top of the world,
Thinking to myself that I’m his only girl.
But in reality I’m not his “one and only”,
Just another barbed-wire fence he’s crossing, to get what he wanted.
The thought lied in the back of my head,
But I brushed it off, believing every word he said.
He told me everything’s gonna be ohk.
And I fell for it, Bust as for the next day:
He was a different person; not the boy I loved and knew.
I went to sleep hoping, but awoke the next morning, knowing it was true.
I held back the tears for as long as I could,
Wishing he’d text me, but he never would.
So here’s to all the girls, Just like me,
Going for what they love in life, and finding out ….
