You Are The Person
My lips will never be able to say,
What I really mean,
Because your looks choke my words back down,
You’re there next to me,
But your eyes never seem to look at me,
Your smile is slowly taking over now,
And it’s not fair,
Cause your presence strangles me,
And knowing you won’t ever know,
Kills me in every way,
That is why I had to tell my irritating fantasies goodbye,
And that’s when I realized I’m not invisible to anyone,
Just you,
You don’t seem to notice all the things around,
You don’t care at all,
The truth hurts,
But I’m over it,
I’m over you,
Nothing turns out the way I’ve planned it,
And oblivious to the wrong path,
I let you follow,
Somewhere somehow,
I left you behind like you did to me,
You thought I would forget,
But there you are lost,
You will know I remained in the same place,
You were the one who was taken,
You are the person who never had feelings for me.
