Where I Lay My Head is Home

December 17, 2007
By Joanathan Parker, Oconomowoc, WI

Home is where the heart is
Or where I lay my head,
Close my eyes, open my heart
Releasing all my dread.

For home is where the heart is
Like thoughts an blades of grass,
Clogging up my empty mind
Cluttering thoughts of past.

Home is where the heart is
Where my love is true,
Close tome, always there
Holding my hand we'll make it threw.

Home is where the heart is
That is where I'm from
Moved so much I've lost my heart
Now all my body's numb.

Home is where the heart is
That's why I cry at night,
For my heart is lost an wondering
Still searching for the light.
