"Now a soft kiss
Aye, by that kiss
I vow an endless bliss."
-John Keats, Endymion

Last night
whilst laying upon
a dew-dampened sidewalk
looking at the freckled night sky
I called to the heavens

“Why tempted have You,
taunting seductress,
me, with the taste of ambrosia?”

Only to feel
with an awe-inspired wonder
a wet kiss laid on my neck
from the very lips of Gaia

She whisp'd to me
in a smooth Audreyian tone

“Do not worry, love,
'twas but a high of hiatus
Dolls may come and go,
but if you stay still,
you'll always hear,
the crash of my waving hair”

The way I started off the particular love affair this poem is about was with a waltz in the rain. Sadly laying upon a sidewalk in the nostalgia of the moment a few months later, it suddenly began to rain, and inspired this poem.

Those who forget history will often repeat it

i like how you included what inspired you to write the poem.  i like the poem and i think you pulled off using quotaions. i don't think many people can do that.  i like mythology and i like this poem.  good job.
