Runaway To Desire

January 21, 2011
The emotional nirvana is gone,
The mecca of hope has dissipated,
The flame in her eyes has extinguished,
With it ends everything that was anticipated,

She had grown tired of his fruitless gains,
The cold climate had created a lust in her heart,
A lust for warmth, for triumph, for a sort of assurance,
Her desire was poison as it doomed their relationship from the start,

It was time for her to runaway,
To the west as her own manifest destiny,
The ring he had recently purchased was a waste,
As the potential bride had ruined their legacy.
