Have you heard the laughter
Of the dry leaves on the breeze?
Or listened to the groaning
of the old oak trees?

Have you heard the whisper
of the falling snow?
Or listened to the snoring
Of the earth below?

Have you heard the whistle
Of the blue birds flying by?
Or listened to the suckling buds
as they reach up high?

Have you heard the panting
of the bright waves on the shore?
Or listened to the crying
of melted Popsicle on the floor?

Have you ever listened
to sounds of the passing day?
Or is your life to fast to notice
The moments that have slipped away?
