When love is lost, do not bow your head in sadness; instead keep your head up high and gaze into heaven for that is where your broken heart has been sent to heal. ~Author Unknown

I awoke to a sunny morning.
But you do not hear the birds chirping.
Instead you hear a boom of a cannon.
I run to shelter and I think of the soldiers.
You see I have my momma and daddy in there and they are fighting for my freedom.
I'm in shelter now and I pray to God to please be with them.
I awoke to find that it was just a dream.
I go to mamma's room.
I tell her, "momma I'm lucky to be here in the U.S.A. Can we please pray for daddy."
You see daddy is right now fighting for our freedom.

This poem came to me in a dream. So first thing in the morning I did was write it. It makes me thing how a lot of kids have their parents in the war right now. I thank God that I have both of my parents here with me. But a lot of kids don't have both parents. So hope you enjoyed my poem
