The Fire
With these eyes I see into your soul.
I'm in the doorway of hell and it's time to pay the toll.
With fire all around,
I tried to cry, I tried to scream but I couldn't make a sound.
I loved you and this is what I got.
Now in the prison I created I sit and rot.
As my heart beats it breaks.
I feel the fangs of a thousand snakes.
You hurt me, yet at times you're the only thing that keeps me going.
I can't deny the way I feel for you is still growing.
You're like the drug I just can't quit even though it's killing me.
You're the one I think about, you're the one I think I need.
In fire birds are the only ones able to flee.
Help me fly, set me free.
