An Ode to a Broken Heart
How easy it is to break a heart
A fragile little piece of art
A risk it is, to wear it on your sleeve
A heart like this is broken when you breathe
But a heart tucked away
One not shown to the light of day
This heart, when broken is broken for good
Only fixed by a good man that should
And when it is fixed, what a joyful heart it is now
It knows that it’s going to be alright somehow
But wearing your heart on your sleeve is not all bad
But you allow it to anyone, any old lad.
So store your heart away for someone who cares
To avoid your heart so many tears
But also a caution, don’t be too afraid,
You might not find a love until the next decade.
So just be calm and go with what you feel,
Soon enough, you live find love that is real.
