From the first time,
I looked in her eyes
I felt that without her,
I would surely die.

She was out on the sidewalk,
And looked so alone,
Except for the chill,
That chilled to the bone.

Her face was so perfect,
That body so fine.
Through her long flowing hair,
I knew she’d be mine.

Her voice I could hear now,
It came from afar.
The sweetest I’d heard,
But it came from a bar.

I came up beside her,
My breath caught at once.
The words seemed to freeze,
And I felt like a dunce.

I felt my heart drop
As she just rolled her eyes.
She left me in sadness,
Her figure disguised.
