Say Goodbye To Summer's Past

We have reached that age again
when everything seems to vanish out of sight
Who we thought were real friends
only dimmen the lonely light
what are you going to do with your life?
we are asked over and over
perhaps sharpen the dull knife
and stay completely sober
As if homework and practice were not enough
we are given a completly new task of growing up.
lets take our knowledge and put it to use
and maybe then we wont feel so abused
so say goodbye to summer's past
a memory that was never meant to last
