When upon the sunrise the winter falls
The skies get darker without cause
The sun gets dimmer
The moon goes to bed
The wind grows cold
The ice gets thick
Before you know it the days turn old

Then the sun comes up
The clouds will move
The breeze gets warmer
The rain feels warmer
The earth turns green
Then you know that it’s time for spring

The skies grow clear
The air burns hot
The feelings of summer
The streets sting of warmth
The flowers age
The grass goes brown

Then, around us fall spills
Leaving the last of the colors
The leaves have changed
The flowers are gone
The birds have left
Now, the skies grow still
