Do you remember the day
They spent in the rain?
It was almost summer,
And it smelled like champagne.
They danced for hours
In the cool downpour,
Screaming to the sky
What they lived for.
And even the thunder
Couldn’t make them quit.
They were soaked through,
Dripping on the carpet.
We just toweled them off,
By then they were beat.
Yes here’s to the day,
They danced in the street.
They spent in the rain?
It was almost summer,
And it smelled like champagne.
They danced for hours
In the cool downpour,
Screaming to the sky
What they lived for.
And even the thunder
Couldn’t make them quit.

Yes here’s to the day,
They danced in the street.
