The Disappointment.

Once I thought that family was love, and that they were there for you.
Once I knew that God was there by the sign of the blue moon.
The disappointment was terrible that went on.
And once I knew it he was gone.
I’m talking about love at first sight.
The kind of love when you see it at night.
Who would ever know that I would be disappointed, hurt and confused, all at the same time?
I thought we would last forever, I thought he was mine.
I’m just a little girl
I just came into this confusing world.
But with God at my side I knew it would go away.
Some day.
I thought it would be alright
I thought it would be tight.
But now I know I’m not safe
I can’t face the hate.
So goodbye old me
Goodbye people I have seen
And hello to the new me.
