I sit here in my cubicle

I sit here in my cubicle,
Pretending to talk on the phone
while sara bareilles serenades my earlobe.
I don’t work 9 to 5
I usually arrive 15 minutes late.
London is the city of grumpy faces and strange smells.
At least I have dear Sara reminding me to be the eternal optimist.
There is a reason for the british accents and organic seedy bread.
My job is to sit, wait, and photocopy while I am at it.
