At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet- Plato

Yelling, Screaming, Breaking things
Not throwing punches but your waiting
For me to set you off again

Love is a beautiful thing
Like wedding bells and wind chimes ring
But is your love pretend

Tell me that you hate me
So I can finally leave
Don't preach about your love
Your only hurting me

Hit me, Punch me, Slap me please
I want them all to see your hurting me
But you never leave a mark

You own me
You control me
Your pulling me apart

I need someone to help me
I need someone to hear me
You say they'll never believe me...

Abuse in romantic relationships isn't always physical. Verbal and emotional abuse can be as pain painful as a punch in the gut. This poem is a about a Verbally abusive relationship.
