When I said I wanted the truth,
That’s all I wanted.
You said you give me exactly that and more
I opened my heart and poured in unto you
But how could such a man break that promise?
You lied, lied straight to my face
How could you?
I just asked for the truth from you
And you couldn’t give me that.
No matter how scared you were I needed the truth
If the truth is that hard to tell
I don’t want you.
A liar is a liar, there’s no turning back
You told me you loved me looking deep into my eyes
How was I to know they were filled with lies?
