My heart is aching
From all my mistaking
Tears filling my eyes
But no flow is taking

Calming myself problem comes
With tears the pain numbs
All I can try is breathing
Hoping to cure by the hums

Think of something different please
These thoughts do nothing but tease
I swallow them best I can
But that doesn’t unlock my knees

I have a nervous feeling
To my eyes no appealing
The tears just need to fall
Otherwise there is no healing

If I hold it inside now still
I feel like it’ll spill
Or explode into a million bits
Before I can live my fill

Breathing sometimes helps my hands
Vibrating like rubber bands
I cannot keep still a second longer
I am falling apart by the strands

Hopefully someone will pick up the part
To help mend my broken heart
Then maybe I can live my life
Bring it back to the start
