Mourning
I feel lost,
Like a part of me is missing.
I can’t think,
I barely eat.
I see my future now,
cold,
dark,
lonely.
I’m scared,
you told me you loved me,
kissed me,
then left.
We knew the risks,
still you joined,
your patriotic duty.
Now your gone,
I have to live without you.
You told me if this happened,
to move on and find someone new.
My heartbreaks,
I love you,
I always will.
My eyes fill with tears,
mourning,
the loss of my love.
We will meet again
One day,
Until that day comes,
I will forever hold you in my heart.
