Fleeing

Far away and into the sun,
Flying away, from what you've done.
Your eyes are hard.
Your jaw is set.
Away from it all,
And into the sun.

Across rivers and seas, into the sun,
Flying away, from what you've done.
Your kiss was calloused.
Your touch was cold.
Away from me,
And into the sun.

Over fields and hills, and into the sun,
Flying away, from what you've done.
Your words were bitter.
Your actions harsh.
Away from the pain,
And into the sun.

Through tunnels and mines, and into the sun,
Flying away, from what you've done.
Your mouth is grim.
Your smile perverse.
Away from judgment,
And into the sun.
