Sestina in the Wind
Whisper your sweet words,
and take me away in the night.
When you come the whole world may know,
but I never want you to leave.
So carry me away,
into the raw darkness,
No one may know where darkness--
may lead, but in this night,
I hope to soon know.
As you take me away,
lull me with those melodious words.
Please don’t leave,
me all alone, we can leave--
this night--
together, we’ll leave them some few words,
and they will know,
we’ve gone away.
Into the darkness.
Into the darkness,
we go and enjoy this sweet night.
I finally know,
that you’ll never leave.
So let us whisper those sweet words,
and together we'll soar away.
