Only Time Will Tell

We never know what will happen next.
You say your love for me is growing,
so we carry on hoping for the best.
But, there is still no way of knowing
what exactly will become of this.
For now, it is sealed with a kiss.
Day after day as time goes by,
all I can think of is you.
Lots of things happen and then I sigh,
because what you say is true.
Only time will tell.
Sometimes it worries me,
that we aren't meant to be,
but I keep my hopes up and wait to see.
