Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

Love is like a slice of toast,
That happy first bite gives cause for boast.
Serenity, beauty, and joy abound,
The toaster has popped - You, I have found.

Love is like a slice of toast,
Eaten by the coast.
A sea breeze passes by,
The toaster has popped - You have caught my eye.

Love is like aslice of toast,
Blackened by some cruel roast.
Flames lick it, left and right,
The toaster has popped - Your love I need tonight.

Love is like a slice of toast,
The remnant of some grain ghost.
Hard to see and hard to feel,
The toaster has popped - You make it real!

The idea for this poem came while I was walkning through AASU while on a college tour with my high school. Towards the end of the tour, the thought jumped into my head: Love is like a slice of toast. The one person I can thank for this would have to be my muse, a girl I met in August of 2008. She and I started dating on 21 October, 2008.
