Walking down the street

On the hot summers day

Our feet clanking against the warm pavement

A mile there

Then the Ice cream parlor

Called geppetto`s

Open the door

Feeling the cool burst of air

I ordered

Cause I had the money

Two smoothies please

You got mango

I got strawberry banana

Do you want whipped cream

Yes

The money clanged as it hit the counter

The crushed ice grounding

And poring into the cups

Plop in a straw each

And out we go

To the park

To lay on the grass

Watching the clouds

In the hot summer air

Slurping our smoothies

I took a sip of yours

You took a sip of mine

Till they were all gone

Lied there for another minute

We walk back home
