The Answer
I sit here on the graveled rocks
Alone.
I close my eyes and remember you-
Your face,
Hair,
Eyes,
Everything,
Even more than the amount of butterflies you gave me,
The blush you put on my cheeks,
Your voice, oh God your voice was strong but gentle-
Like a rose with thorns
Your ears waiting to hear my love
The laced hands of you and me.
Then I remember why all I can do is remember you.
Which is easier to teach?
A question or an answer?
We don’t speak,
Anymore.
Fault to no one,
Choice by someone.
You, you chose this,
I chose this.
Why can’t I do it?
Why can’t I trust in trust from you?
Which is easier to teach?
A question or an answer?
I was scared of not having you-
You were scared at my not being able to fall,
But I already had.
You loved me-
I hated it.
I’m the one to blame for only remembering…
My parents fell in love but stood right back up,
Is that why I’m scared?
I loved you.
So…
Which is easier to teach?
A question or an answer?
Nothing is easy, only what is learned.
Therefore I’ll be the question…
If you’ll be the answer.
