Tinted Green

Is hatred not superannuated?
Out of style and out-dated
Over-used and contemplated
And must I still abide to it?

Jealousy now takes grip of my reins
Driving me upwards and into insane
So my shadow does the rendezvousing
My green reflection goes unseen

These I call the chronicles
Of blurred school days- and I’m alone
And into sheets dissolve the tears
Of nights of sleepless dreaming

But I attempt to synchronize
My tears with the batting of your eyes
And looking into your smiling camouflage
I can’t help but think – you’re just like me
