You Will Walk Alone

The wind that blows through your bones
Whispers the words that escape my lips.
My tongue drips with meaningless words
That you have thought for so long.

How long has it been since you have sat
And caught a glimpse of the hand that waves in front of you?
Where will the next stop be
That sends you back to that same existence of shadows?

You've lasted only for my sake and my sake alone.
Never will you be able to shake the torrid gusts that drive you to the ground.

Holding your head high in agreement only works with a certain class.
When the seasons of change reach up for you once more,
There will be no foothold,
Your eager expression will label you a curse.

Spiritless and naked you will stand.
The light of the distinguished will fade into the dismal knowledge of the destitute.
You will remain, struck with fear at the tranquility that rises
From words you hastily spit, never to be muttered again.

How long has it been since you have sat
And caught a glimpse of the hand that waves in front of you?
Where will the next stop be
That sends you back to the same existence of shadows?

You've lasted by my sake and my sake alone.
The winds through you will no longer blow.
