Pure white and pale blue minarets
shoot up toward the sky.
Four of them dominating all of Istanbul,
guarding the mosque.
Multiple domes in neutral shades
cuddling together to make the heart.
Light pours through from Heaven
onto the marble floor.
Quranic phases and designs flood the walls,
overlapping each other in calligraphic auras.
Ancient looking stairs worth a million
dazzling from the sparkle of the chandeliers.
Holy Wisdom as it’s called,
truly is the mother of all mosques.
