My Inner Demon Poem
November 16, 2010
I have a demon hiding inside
For days upon days; I have cried
This demon who is sleeping within
Forces my body to commit sin
I try to be good, I try not to sway
After all that I do, it won't go away
I want to cry, I want to die
Slit my wrist, slash my eye
To me I'm dead I cannot move
The evil I do, my body will prove
My sight comes in from demon's eyes
My heart is tainted by deadly lies
Though all the good I try to do
Must not be good enough for you
I will be hurting for a while
But through you I will try to smile
