Didn’t know
Too bad I can’t wash away these scars
With soap and water, and just scrub hard
Instead they fade slowly, like a broken heart
I wish I could go back and tell myself stop
But I didn’t know how
Though I do know one thing
Even when these scars disappear
I’ll still have the memories, the pain, and the fear.
