I’m one of them, the breathless souls
We are all filled with gaping holes
This eerie place has no way out
Why am I always filled with doubt

This stagnant cage constrains me so
My yearning heartstrings wane and grow
When will this hopeless nightmare end
And someone’s timely hand extend

Please save me from this endless night
The beastly, bleak, and biting fright
It’s eating at my weak insides
And twinging at my writhing sides

Unanswered questions tear at me
I hear a screeching shriek of glee
I see your smirk through binding bars
The pain is seared through all my scars

Betrayal pierces through my mind
I feel as though I will unwind
I hear a voice that says: my love,
For all your answers, look above.
